Areus Hymn[]

Areus Hymn[note 1] was a general in Elphegort; following Elphegort's takeover by the Tasan Party, Areus worked as a general under the dictator Nemesis Sudou and served during the Great War. During the war, Areus attended a meeting with Nemesis along with several of her other underlings at the Tasan Party's headquarters. At the meeting, he reported how badly Elphegort was doing in the war, with USE breaking through their southern front and Marlon on their western front, and how their allies were also suffering, particularly Jakoku.

When Nemesis reassured Areus that they would win the war using "Punishment", Areus expressed his concern with the weapon's death toll and potential for harming Elphegort in the crossfire. After Nemesis reassured him again, claiming that Punishment was to be used more as a threat, the meeting was adjourned and Areus returned to work. When PN attacked the headquarters not long after, Areus moved to a safe room with Nemesis and the other officials of the Tasan Party; he was injured by the soldiers of PN after they found the room.[1] Following the world's destruction, he joined the other Tasan soldiers at Evil's Theater to listen to Gammon Octo's address.[2]

Ben[]

Ben[note 2], originally Shakuson[note 3], was a member of the Tasan Party in the late EC 900s. When a fellow member Nyoze Octo was falsely convicted and made a fugitive, Shakuson allowed Nyoze to take his identity in order to live a new life in Lucifenia. One of several Elphe children whose parents were forced to live in the slums from unemployment, Dio joined Zeus and became friends with one of its other members, Pan. Later, Dite accompanied several Zeus members at a port to wait for the return of the assassination party.

When the group returned, Dite was devastated to learn from Narcissus that Remes had been killed during the assassination attempt, and was shocked with the others when Nemesis sank the Titanis to protect them from Midas. Later, Dite and the rest of the members of Zeus were arrested and convicted for the sinking of the Titanis, and they were killed in prison by the serial killer Jorm Zusco.[4]

After the meeting was adjourned, he returned to work.

When PN attacked the headquarters not long after, Encheri moved to a safe room with Nemesis and the other officials of the Tasan Party, only to leave to go help repel the attack. He was stabbed and killed by the soldiers of PN, just managing to return to the safe room before dying. Encheri was described as brave, going to help on the front lines despite being a higher-up official.[1] Following the world's destruction, he joined the other Tasan soldiers at Evil's Theater to listen to Gammon Octo's address.[2]

Hardy[note 12] was the leader of the criminal gang Hades in Elphegort, as well as the proprietor of a bar. One day in EC 978, Hardy spotted members of their rival gang Zeus, Narcissus and Nemesis, in his bar trying to get drinks. He confronted them, first for being minors and then pointing out that this bar was a Hades hangout. As the other members of Hades surrounded the two, Narcissus taunted them until a fight broke out; Hardy then stopped it as per Narcissus' suggestion that they only fight each other as the leaders of their groups.

As he prepared to fight, Hardy abruptly refused Narcissus' offer and prepared to let his gang beat him up instead, chiding Narcissus when he called for help from the young girl Nemesis. After telling Nemesis not to get involved, however, Hardy and the other members of Hades were suddenly restrained by Nemesis' pet ziz tiama. Nemesis then questioned Hardy on the death of Zeus member Dio Ameth, with Hardy insisting that Hades had no involvement in it. Nemesis let everyone go and prepared to leave; before she did, Hardy suggested that, as Dio was found in the northern district, his death might have something to do with Midas Touch.[4]

Helio[]

Helio[note 13] was a member of the criminal gang Zeus in Elphegort. One of several Elphe children whose parents were forced to live in the slums from unemployment, Helio joined Zeus and in EC 978 went along with their plan to rob and assassinate Midas Touch. While their leader Narcissus took a small group out to the S.S. Titanis, Helio drove the rest of Zeus to a port to await their return, using a car that Kandi supplied them.

When the group returned, Helio was panicked with the others to learn that the assassination attempt failed, and was similarly shocked when Nemesis sank the Titanis to protect them from Midas. Later, Helio and the rest of the members of Zeus were arrested and convicted for the sinking of the Titanis, and they were killed in prison by the serial killer Jorm Zusco.[4]

After boarding the S.S. Titanis and attempting to carry out their plan, however, Ilei and his fellows were forced to flee with their stolen money after their confederate Remes was killed, returning to the mainland in a panic.

Ilei was soon shocked, along with the others, when Nemesis sank the Titanis to protect them from Midas. Later, Ilei and the rest of the members of Zeus were arrested and convicted for the sinking of the Titanis, and they were killed in prison by the serial killer Jorm Zusco.[4]

Narcissus Kissos[]

Narcissus Kissos[note 17][7] was the leader of the criminal gang Zeus in Elphegort. When one of their fellows, Dio Ameth, was found dead in Aceid's Northern District, Narcissus went to the Hades bar to investigate their involvement in his death, bringing Nemesis and her pet ziz tiama "Ziz-san" as backup. In the bar, Narcissus tried to get Nemesis a drink before the Hades leader Hardy accosted them. As he chided them for being minors and for coming to a Hades hangout, Narcissus continually taunted Hades until a fight broke out in the bar. Narcissus then suggested that only he and Hardy fight, as leaders of their respective gangs, until Hardy rejected the idea.

Surrounded by Hades members, Narcissus called to Nemesis for help and she prevented the fight with Ziz-san. Narcissus then stood by as Nemesis questioned Hardy and the two received a lead that the wealthy Midas Touch was related to Dio's death. After robbing the bar, Narcissus and Nemesis left and parted ways, resolving to look into the matter more. They would learn that Midas was indeed responsible for Dio's death due to his shady business dealings. During their investigation, Narcissus was contacted by a man claiming to be called Kandi, who told him that Midas was in Marlon but would be returning to Elphegort on the S.S. Titanis.

He called for all of Zeus to meet him at their hideout and brought Kandi, the man proposing that Zeus rob and assassinate Midas while he was over the water, in exchange for 30% of the spoils from the job. Narcissus agreed to lead the assassination party, selecting Gai, Racle, Pan, Remes, and Ilei for the job. When Nemesis also tried to join with Ziz-san, he rejected her offer, saying among other things that her octopus would be too conspicuous. He later acted devastated when overhearing Nemesis say to Pan that she wasn't dating him.

Three days later, Narcissus and the rest of the party set out for the Titanis on a World Police boat supplied by Kandi. After boarding the ship and attempting to carry out their plan, however, Narcissus and his fellows were forced to flee with their stolen money after their confederate Remes was killed. They returned to the mainland, Narcissus explaining what had happened and that, not only had they failed, but Midas had seen their faces and could now have them arrested or killed upon his return.

As he and the rest of Zeus panicked, they were soon shocked when Nemesis sank the Titanis to protect them from Midas. Narcissus then had Zeus load their ill-gotten gold in their car; the group returned to the hideout and listened to the radio report on the sinking of the Titanis.[4] Following the event, Zeus continued to search for Midas' wealth in Aceid.[8] Later, Narcissus and his fellows were arrested and convicted of the sinking of the Titanis, and they were killed in prison by the serial killer Jorm Zusco.[4]

Afterwards, Pan was picked to be in the assassination party and he chatted with Nemesis about getting revenge for his friend, among other things.

After boarding the S.S. Titanis and attempting to carry out their plan, however, Pan and his fellows were forced to flee with their stolen money after their confederate Remes was killed, returning to the mainland in a panic. When she asked him about the commotion happening outside, he explained it was some trouble with a local woman and received her orders that the soldiers treat her gently.

When the woman was revealed to be part of PN and the headquarters were brought under attack, Polrio estimated the amount of soldiers attacking and that they were from Maistia, before taking Nemesis to safety. Once the soldiers of PN found the safe room, Polrio watched Nemesis disarm them all and converse with their leader, Bruno Zero, questioning her and learning that Bruno was the one to save her life when she was a teenager. With Bruno and his cohorts restrained, Polrio searched the former and found a coded note on his person, handing it over to Nemesis shortly before she shot Bruno.[1] Following the world's destruction, he joined the other Tasan soldiers at Evil's Theater to listen to Gammon Octo's address.[2]

Unknown Factory Worker[]

A man living in the Second Period with his daughter. At some point the man had a child born with the genetic illness known as HER. The night after his daughter started showing symptoms, he sexually abused her.[13] He made it a habit to take her to work everyday and told her not to press the red switch, as it was dangerous, when he left her on her own and she promised to obey him. However one day the other personality emerged and pressed it, killing him.[14]

Unknown Patient[]

Unknownpatientavi

A HER who lived in the Second Period with her father. She was born with Hereditary Evil Raiser Syndrome, and developed the symptoms within a separate personality. One September, her seat in class was moved next to a fellow classmate. She was happy to sit next to him, and tolerated his cruelty to her. On one occasion, while she was given courtyard sweeping duty after school, the boy stole her shoes to tease her; switching personalities, she proceeded to attack him.

That night, her father sexually abused her repeatedly. While she didn't understand what happened that day or night due to her personality switches, she recorded the incidents in her journal.[13] Regardless of the abuse, she visited her father's workplace in a factory almost every day, and obeyed his orders to not to press the red switch she was left in the presence of. During one visit, her other personality came out and pressed the switch, killing her father.[14]

Protesting her innocence and blaming her alter ego, she was transferred to Held Yggdra's psychiatric clinic in Moscow, Russia and assigned under the care of Levia Barisol. Her doctors prescribed her adam and marry-go-round drugs to combat the girl's symptoms of HER,[13] but she refused the needle when they attempted to give her the shot.[15] Eventually, by Christmas time, she was the last patient left in the clinic. She soon later pressed her own switch and killed herself.[16] She is represented by the Vocaloid MAYU.

Unknown Student[]

A boy who lived in the Second Period. He went to school every day and in September, the class' seating arrangement was moved and a girl was seated next to him. He continually teased the girl, who took it in stride. One day while she was on courtyard sweeping duty, he stole her indoor slippers and laughed, only for the girl to suddenly attack him repeatedly and mercilessly.[13] He was a school-age boy who was cruel to the girl for no clear reason, although presumably not expecting retaliation.
